16.10.2022 - Team Associated SSR ends season with a podium...

The endurance final was an event with mixed feelings. Both, Aydin Horne and Cole Tollard settled in on P5 and P7 until Cole's car suffered from flame-outs. Ayidn on the otherside was able to finish 3rd on the podium. With just two points short we finished 3rd in the Team Championship and Davide Ongaro took the driver's vice-championship with only two RCGP apperances this year... Any questions? 😉

15.10.2022 - Aydin and Cole added up another 21 pts in the Team Championship...

Rd 7 of RCGP season 2022 is behind us and thanks to Aydin Horne RC and Cole Tollard finishing strong on P4 and P7 with their #RC8B4 race cars, we look forward for tomorrows showdown chasing our competitors from P2 only 18 points short. But we mustn't forget to look backwards either, because the next one is only some 16 points back...

07.08.2022 - Team Associated SSR leaves Europe as Leaders of the RCGP Team Championship 2022

Rd#6 of RCGP is in the books and we are more delighted then ever....since Davide Ongaro took a strong win in the 60 Minutes endurance final. This win marks also the turnover for the lead for Team Associated SSR in the Team Champinoship, before RCGP leaves Europe bound for the US.
This effort was only possible because of the great commitement by all parties (Davide Ongaro Tom Robin R/C Cole Tollard Aydin Horne RC) involved in this great project. Now let's put RCGP for a short rest and get focused for the worlds due, within less than 4 weeks to come...

06.08.2022 - Valuable points in Rd#5 for Davide and Tom at the Nemo Track in UK...

A tricky, grippy surface demands all for our drivers Davide Ongaro #94 and Tom Robin R/C #27 on RCGP event #3 in the UK. In Friday's Rush, Davide grabbed one point with P3 and proved an excellent pace during the two sprint finals of Rd#5 securing a good P2. Tom suffered from a technical issue allowing him only to finish on P10. our #RC8B4 will now be prepared for Qualy and Rd#6 endurance final of Sunday...

04.08.2022 - Craig Drescher jumps in as Team Manager

 

RCGP Event #3 is about to begin...Meet Craig Drescher who will be at the helm of Team Associated SSR for the benefit of Davide Ongaro and Tom Robin R/C representing Team Associated at the Nemo Track in UK this weekend starting 5th August to 7th August 2022... 19.06.2022 - Ong and Robin performing strong in Race 4 with their #RC8B4... 👌

 

In our sport, when after 1 hour of racing at 35 °C (95 °F), with two laps to go, the leader is only one car length ahead of the runner-up, the insider knows that the final decision is to be found in the details. Today Davide Ongaro #94 did not lose the victory, but won the second place.
The same goes for Tom Robin #27, who despite the flameouts (one on the track) finished a very good seventh. This had only been possible because of his excellent race pace. Thanks to the team and the many helpers (thank you Luca Iotti ) who were part of this success in Gussago.

19.06.2022 - Another TQ for ONG and a strong P4 by Tom Robin... 💪

Qualifying of race 4 is over and Davide Ongaro #94 is TQ again but will start the race from P2 since he had the second fastest lap in the Superpole, that took place right after Q3.
Very strong performance also by Tom Robin #27 who qualified his #RC8B4 on P4 for the one-hour final starting at 1640 CET. Well done gentlemen....well done....

18.06.2022  - Davide Ongaro wins the 3rd race of this RCGP season

 

Manila 2.0 says hello....it was hot and heavy in Gussago... although Davide Ongaro had to start with a big gap in both finals due to starting collisions by others, ONG fought bravely twice through the pack. A second place in race 1 and the victory in race 2 were enough, as already 3 years ago in Manila, to get the day's victory.

Tom Robin had bad luck. After great 6th place in race 1, Tom was the victim of a collision in race 2, caused by the pursuer, which resulted in an undeserved 10th place at the end.
Now the #RC8B4 will be prepared for tomorrows race action.

 

18.06.2022 - TQ for Davide Ongaro and P6 for Tom Robin

 

Qualification is over in Gussago and Davide Ongaro #94 is our TQ-Man...💪 - Tom Robin #27 settled on a strong P6. Now we "Do work" to prepare our #RC8B4 for the two 13min + 2L Sprintraces starting 1510 CET....

17.06.2022 - Top-Seeding & P3 in RCGP Rush, with the first Point for ONG

A hot day in Ospy is in the books and Davide Ongaro was able to secure his first championship points for the RCGP season 2022. Tom Robin showed a good pace but was a bit unlucky during his second Rush final missing another bump-up.
Now the cars need to get ready for tomorrows race day.... stay tuned

19.05.2022: Driver Presentation - RCGP Rd #2 - Gussago, Italy

After Cole Tollard and Aydin Horne RC have performed very well in the USA, Europe takes the helm in the current RCGP season...
With 2019 Champion Driver Davide Ongaro #94 and French National Championship Runner-Up Tom Robin #27 we present the driver lineup of Team Associated SSR for round #2 of the RCGP 2022 season hosted by Ospyteam R/C Off- Road Circuit Model from 17th to 19th March 2022.

30.04./01.05.2022 - Swiss nats Rd1&2 in Cornaux

 

The Neuchâtel Mini Buggy Club - NMBC was a great host of the E8OR Swiss nats Rd. 1&2 on their brand new layout. The Scuderia Scampi Rosso made a podium plus 3 Top5 spots on both races. On Saturday racing had to be cancelled during the fainals due to heavy rain, so the race was counted after the qualifiers. On Sunday we had a full race whereas Stefan Sidler made a strong P2. Besides the RC8B4e we had a RC8B3.2e, a RC8B3.1 and a RC8B2e at the start...😍 - a truly historic moment

25.04.2022: Swiss Nats V8OR Rd1 Vernier

 

Solid Start for the Scuderia Scampi Rosso...

The Buggy Model Club de Vernier was host of Rd1 of the 2022 Swiss Nats on a technical & tricky Astro Track. The Scuderia Scampi Rosso was able to start into this season with a solid result with their #RC8B3.2 platform. In his first nitro race on this level, Sven Koller made a ride straight to P2 onto the podium in the Amateur Class. On the Expert class it was Fabian Widmer who conquered a strong P6 on this season opener. We have work to do and we accept the Astro Challenge...🧐

29.03.2022: RCGP 2022 Rd 1 Short recap... great Teamwork!

 

Races 1&2 are in the books and we love those numbers. In the Team standings Team Associated SSR is on P2 and in the drivers standing Cole Tollard together with Aydin Horne RC sit on P3 and P5. This success was possible thanks to the good Teamwork by the whole AE crew in the US. Now we do work to focus for Rd 2 in Europe from 17 to 19 June 2022.
We saw a well orgnazied event by the crew of S&B R/C Speedway and look forward to the great venue at the Ospyteam R/C Off- Road Circuit Model .

27.03.2022: P2 & P5 in RCGP Race #2 (58' + 2L format)

 

Excellent team work directed by Richard Saxton and his crew at race 2 of RCGP season 2022...💪
After a hard start at the beginning, our #RC8B4 drivers Cole Tollard with Car #26 and Aydin Horne RC with Car #98 worked with patience their way up through the pack to finish Second (Cole) and Fifth (Aydin), winning another bunch uf valuable points for Team Associated SSR... 🦐

 

26.03.2022: P2 and P5 in RCGP Race #1 (2 sprint format)

Strong Team Performance under Director Richard "The King" Saxton on raceday #1 of the RCGP season 2022.
After struggeling a bit in the qualifying, Cole Tollard (Car #26) and Aydin Horne (Car #98) dialed-in their #RC8B4 for the two sprint races giving them a decent race pace for P2 (Cole) and P4 (Aydin) in race 1
In race 2 things looked good for Cole who got intercepted in the last lap to finish on P2 again. Aydin finished on P5.
At the end we are absolutely happy with the second place of Cole and fourth of Aydin overall in RCGP race #1

 

25.03.2022: Seeding & P3 in RCGP Rush, with the first Point

Seeding Practice of #rcgpseries is over and our drivers seem in shape.... Cole Tollard #26 secured P3 and Aydin Horne RC #98 a solid P5...
RCGP has some new stuff added for Friday... The RCGP Rush, where drivers can collect points in a exhibition race format - Three laps, winner bumps up to the next group of three.
Cole, with good race pace missed the last bump-up to join Aydin and two other drivers in the final main. In that final, Aydin was third collecting the his and the teams first RCGP Championship point for that season...💪

 

23.03.2022: T-24h - That's how our cars will look like...

Take a sneak preview of the Team Associated Scuderia Scampi Rosso Bodyshells, that will be raced by Aydin Horne RC and Cole Tollard in Piedmont S.C. during RCGP round 1&2 this coming weekend... Thx at @arqpaint for the great paint-job...💪
