21.09.2020: The Scuderia wrapped all Swiss National titles  E10OR

The great Kaiju Racing R/C track had the honor to host the last round in the 2020 Swiss Championship. After taking the 4WD title a week ago, in 2WD all was still open.
After winning the fist A-main "in-style" we saw a nail-biter in A2 where the young swiss talent showed his skills and taking the win. This meant the second title in 2020 for Team Associated's young hope from Switzerland and a great success for the Scuderia Scampi Rosso. Kay's RC10B6.2 was dialed in top-notch.... Fabian Widmer (P6) and Stefan Sidler (P10) made the trio together with Kay in the A-main.
The 4WD race taught us some lessons how race situations are assessed. We can live with this and accept the challenge... This was the reason why Fabian Widmer was on hand to secure the excellent 3rd place for Team Associated with his RC10B74.1 hybrid. Kay Frehner finished a good fifth and Stefan Sidler rounded off the "Scuderia -Three" in the A-main with his seventh place.
In the truck class, Team Associated privateers Adriano Mariotto and Boris Jost celebrated a great double victory with their RC10T6.1. With these results Team Associated Switzerland officially wrapped up the following national titles:

14.09.2020: The Scuderia also sweeps Rd3 of Swiss Nats E10OR

Last weekend the local Club EOCD of Dielsdorf hosted Rd 3 of the Swiss Nats in 1/10th Offroad Buggy. The nicely prepared dirt-track demanded everything from the drivers in terms of setup. The Team Associated drivers of the Scuderia solved their tasks best. In the 2WD class, a total of four RC10B6.2 drivers reached the A-main - Kay Frehner (P2), Fabian Widmer (P4), Stefan Sidler (P8) and Beat Knutti (P10). In 4WD the Scuderia tried to adapt their cars as close as possible to the new basic setup of the RC10B74.1D, which was good for TQ (Kay Frehner) and P3 (Fabian Widmer).
In the mains, Kay withstood the pressure of brothers Florian and Nico Schmid and scored another win for the #RC10B6.2. The first two 4WD A-mains were more like a “walk through” for Kay, giving the Scuderia's youngster another impressive double victory. In the third A-main Kay could not keep up the pace due to deficits in the electronics, so Fabian took the win and deservedly secured the second place on the podium - a perfect one-two for the two hybrid #RC10B74.1D of the Scuderia Scampi Rosso. In the Truck class, Stefan Sidler, after TQ, won the race with his #RC10T6.1, which also resulted in the Swiss Championship title.

07.09.2020: Successful appearance at the EOS in Andernach...

Last weekend the second round of the EOS series took place at the Arena33 track. Young Kay Frehner (14 years old) and his mentor Stefan Sidler competed with the European elite in the 1/10 off-road class. Kay proved his skills and there was only little missing for his first ever A-main appearance... An excellent B-main victory in 2WD (starting as 7th on the grid) and a respectable 8th place in the B-main in 4WD resulted at the end for our young gun from Switzerland.

25.08.2020: Maxime Noble and Noah Kaufmann take P4 & P6 at Swiss Nats Rd #2

MBLR was host of Rd. #2 of the Swiss Nats in Gland. In challengeing conditions Noah Kaufmann/AUT and Maxime Noble managed to put their Team Associated #RC8B3.2 in the Top-10.

13.07.2020: The Scuderia sweeps Rd2 of Swiss Nats E10OR

On Saturday rain heavily impaired the racing action. But unimpressed by this, the Scuderia Scampi Rosso did its homework with confidence. The new youngster Kay Frehner (Team Associated/RUDDOG) won the championship race in the 2WD class with his RC10B6.2 unchallenged from second place on the grid, ahead of brothers Nico and Florian Schmid.
At summery 25°C the race in the classes 4WD and Truck continued on Sunday. The 14-year-old Frehner once again proved his potential and won after TQ with his RC10B74 also this race superior to Nico and Florian Schmid. In the Truck class, Stefan Sidler took TQ and race victory with his RC10T6.1.

The COVID-19 restrictions are about to ease off...and racing in Switzerland is about to start... So it's time to present the new gang at the helm on the 2020 Scuderia Scampi Rosso. With the support of partner RUDDOG distribution we'd like to present Kay Frehner and Stefan Sidler, that will team up with Fabian Widmer during the Swiss National Championships and during the EOS events of this year.
